Andrew Szydlo

Performance Chemist

Andrew Szydlo is undoubtedly one of the world’s great science communicators and an advocate for chemistry education. He is an internationally acclaimed chemistry teacher and holds a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science from UCL. He has a particular expertise on the history of alchemy. A bit of a polymath, he’s a violin, bugle and accordion player, as well as a professional photographer on the side and a TEDx speaker (his most famous talk was watched over 5 millions times!)

Combining his passion for teaching chemistry with humour and performance, Andrew’s talks are literally explosively good. You won’t want to miss it!
