Dr Hilary Costello is based in the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge where she teaches mechanics and fluid dynamics. She earned her PhD from Cambridge in engineering in the field of fluid-structure interaction.

She has industrial experience working on a number of novel aircraft projects looking to make planes fly for as long as possible using solar or hydrogen power.
