Elaine Buckholtz

Innovative Illuminator

Elaine Buckholtz is a multidisciplinary world-known artist, operating in the space between light installation and architecture. Her work transforms environments and sites into quiet spectacles, inducing a sense of wonder by activating architectural forms and spaces with moving light, sculptural elements and sound. As part of this year’s Lumiere Festival, she has worked with Ian Winters to create ‘A Telling of Light’, set at Penshaw Monument, a haunting memorial to the many lost to Covid during the pandemic.

Elaine, who is also a Professor at the Massachusetts College of Art & Design, will be on stage at the Bright Ideas Gathering discussing her challenging new work.
